The OSDMS and the OAMRT are pleased to announce that we are pursing
an amalgamation of our two societies.
At the OSDMS Annual General Meeting of November 5th, 2011, OSDMS members voted strongly in favour of the creation of a new professional society which will embrace the values of both of these existing groups and allow radiant energy practitioners to move together into the future.

About Us

OSDMS - Who are we?
In 1981,seven sonographers collaborated to establish the Ontario Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (OSDMS). Today the OSDMS represents close to 1000 sonographers practicing in the general, cardiac and vascular ultrasound specialties. The main objective of the society is to provide an information network for sonographers in order to advance their knowledge in the modality and related professional issues. The society promotes continuing education through newsletters, meetings and conferences at which sonographers can accumulate Continuing Medical Education credits.

As a society, the OSDMS encourages each member to share the pursuit of common goals and address occupational challenges by becoming actively involved with any aspect of the society, whether as a member of the Board of Directors or by responding to any decisions made within the society. Our Board of Directors welcomes your comments and ideas. Only through your feedback and involvement will our society grow and prosper.
