Employment Opportunity — Temporary Full time Multi site Ultrasonographer

Applications are currently being accepted for a Temporary Full time Multi site Ultrasonographer administratively attached to the Kincardine site of the South Bruce Grey Health Centre with possible assignment to alternate sites as required. (This position to start approximately January 2009 and not to exceed January 2010)

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Current registration with the CARDUP or ARDMS
• Willingness to mentor technologists in training
• Recent experience in a Hospital environment
• Proficient in Abd, OBS, small parts, venous Doppler
• Ability to do carotid, arterial and shoulder exams an asset
• Strong computer skills using a variety of Microsoft Office applications with proficiency in Word and Excel
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize a variety of functions
• Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and as a team player
• Must be able to provide the flexibility and availability to meet the needs of the department
• Knowledge of and adherence to Occupational Health & Safety and infection control principles
• Demonstrated excellence in attendance required

Must have valid driver's license and vehicle for use or transportation arrangements appropriately available as assignment requires.
