Ultrasound Technologist
(1) Position: Part time (Present schedule: one Saturday per Month)
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
This position will be responsible for performing ultrasound examinations in the following areas: general abdomen/pelvis, intracavitary, small parts, routine/high risk obstetrics and peripheral venous doppler.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
- Completion of an accredited post graduate Ultrasound Program
- RDMS certification in AB and OB with preference given to those who are also RVT's
- Minimum of 1-year experience is preferred coupled with teaching hospital experience.
- New graduates pending RDMS certification will also be considered
- Evidence of ongoing continuing education and affiliations to recognized ultrasound associations
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills as well as the ability to work independently and as a member of the team
- Demonstrated good attendance record with the ability to maintain this same standard
- Demonstrated commitment to a safe environment for staff, patients and families by working in compliance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act and related Hospital policies.
